Get-to-Know

Harvinder Oharpuri is a well known punjabi lyricist, writer, and poet serving the Punjabi music industry with his purely God gifted talent, words, and ‘Kalam’.  He’s a great person of intellectual inspiration who always proved that his writing is like a string of pearls embedded together with everlasting religious, social, cultural, and romantic messages for all age groups.  Not only does his writing, but his songs are also a symbol of beautiful water fall that never stops and continue to touch the hearts of millions of people around the globe with simple, clean, and family oriented lyrics.

His first song was sung by Kuldip Manak in 1987.  Since then he has never looked back and written more than 1000 songs of which more than 500 songs has been recorded by famous Punjabi folk singers around the globe.  As of today, his songs are sung by Late Kuldip Manak, Late Surjit Bindrakhia, Hans Raj Hans, Satwinder Bitti, Bhai Davinder Singh Sodhi Ji, Lehmber Hussainpuri, Master Saleem, Sabar Koti, Sarbjit Cheema, Surinder Laddi, Kaptan Laddi, Rai Jujhar, Sukhwinder Panshi, K.S. Makhan, Bupinder Gill, Sudesh Kumari, Amrita Virk, Anmol Virk, Parveen Bharta, Narinder Mavi, Bhinda Jatt, Harbhajan Shera, Bill Singh, Yudhvir Manak, Surjit Khan, Gora Chak Wala, Kultar Bajwa, Balvir Kamal, Dalwinder Dyalpuri, Harpreet Randhawa, Avtar Randhawa (Italy), Aman Dhatt (Canada), Harminder Nurpuri, Gurpreet Dhatt, Madan Shonki, Daljit Mattu, and the list goes on.

Currently, he is residing in a beautiful village called Oharpur, near the city of Tanda based in Hoshiarpur district, with his lovely spouse Manjit and adorable son Sanampreet.
